Sunday and Wypych Of Men’s Soccer Recognized By NSCAA

first_imgSeniors Mueng Sunday (Coralville, Iowa) and James Wypych (Wellington, New Zealand) of the Drake University men’s soccer team were each selected to the 2016 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Division I Men’s All-West Region Third Team, the association announced Tuesday, Dec. 6.  Print Friendly Version Sunday, a midfielder, earned 2016 All-Missouri Valley Conference First Team honors for the second-straight year after he started 18-of-19 matches and scored two goals and handed one assist. He was named to the prestigious MAC Hermann watch list prior to the regular season. Wypych was named to the All-MVC First Team in each of his three seasons at Drake. The forward, who transferred from New Mexico prior to the 2014 season, scored a team-leading eight goals, handed out a team-high five assists and tallied a team-best 21 points this past season.
