Watch The Werks Cover The Doobie Brothers At This Year’s Werk Out Fest [Pro-Shot]

first_img[H/T JamBase; Photo: Josh Timmermans] In the beginning of August, The Werks hosted their annual Werk Out Festival, which saw performances by Gramatik, The Floozies, Emancipator, Twiddle, Dopapod, and Dumpstaphunk in addition to three nights of performances by the festival’s host band. With the festival opening on August 3rd, The Werks wasted no time getting the party started, laying out an energized set the first night to set the tone for the rest of the weekend. During this first set of the weekend, the Ohio-based group gave a cover of The Doobie Brothers’ “Long Train Running” the proper treatment. With drummer Rob Chafin handling vocal duties, the tune eventually segued into a spirited jam portion heavily featuring keys player Dan Shaw and guitarist Chris Houser. You can check out this video of this rare Werks cover of The Doobie Brother’s “Long Train Running” at The Werk Out Festival below, which was uploaded to  The Werks YouTube page yesterday.last_img read more
